At *a=3.498* we find a super stable 2-cycle in *f*^{ 2}

This corresponds to a superstable 4-cycle in *f*:

If we now look at *f*^{ 4}(x)

(including the transient)

we can study the approach to the fixed point in *f*^{ 4}(x). Again the orbit resembles the orbits in demonstration 1 at *a=2* and demonstration 5 at *a=3.236*.

We can again emphasize this by focusing on the central region be enlarging and inverting (set *nsc=2*):
