*a*can be set in the "*a=*" text box or constructed as*a = a*_{c}+/- A^{ -n}

where values of*a*are given in the drop down lists for the quadratic and sine maps, and_{c}*A*is given for three special sets of values of*a*for both map functions: the bifurcation points and points for superstable orbits for*a<a*, and the chaotic band merging values for a>a_{c}_{c}. The power*n*may be from 0 to 8, as well as "*I*" meaning infinity. - The factor "
*scale*" is for changing the overall scale factor of the axes in an*nsc*independent way. Different values (near unity) need to be chosen to rescale the bifurcation, superstable or bandmerging curves into the unit interval, but for each type of curve the value of*scale*does not change as*n*is increased to infinity.
